Softball Transfer Portal

This has been quite the offseason. A new pitching coach, hiring one of my favorite players as an assistant coach, A couple of arms rumored to be joining florida, great additions from the transfer portal. It's been an adventure and fun. It'll be even more fun if vawter joins us. but with all that being said.. I hope next off season is more relaxed than this one is.we should have 3 arms in the circle ( ava, Keagan,katelynn) so the only thing I hope we need is an extra arm in the circle.

 

Watch out for A&M in the future. Trisha Ford is very aggressively overhauling that program.

 

While Walton was able to spend a lot of time with Maxwell in Ireland....don't forget that Tony Baldwin did too.

 

Ah, the time before NIL and the easy portal when nothing happened during the off season and this forum was dead.

Also sounds like SC is a high possibility for Vawter... apparently they are throwing around NIL. Don't know what to say if that's true..... really really though vawter would end up here.

 

Also some are saying vawter already visited here... does anyone know?

 

I heard a few alumni are trying hard to get both vawter and Maxwell to florida. I don't know if she did because everything is so tight lipped at florida.

 

HONESTLY. we need to sign a couple of arms. I don't know much about Chelsey but I hope she is able to work with the pitchers. if we don't land the top 2 arms left in the portal.

My prediction for what it’s worth which is not much. Maxwell to Texas, Vawter to the Gators.

 

My prediction, which is worth even less, this thread will continue to be the most discussed thread on Diamond Gators until someone actually knows for sure where Vawter and Maxwell are going.

 

My engineer friend says USC has a good engineering department. Not as good as ours but good.

Meaningless information. Transfer portal thread opened 6/22/22. On 5/15/23 it was at 24 messages. It is now at 1055 messages.

 

Now up to 1057 with yours and mine. There's nothing else going on in the sports world right now. Plus, Gator softball fans are passionate and anxious about the 1 or 2 key players left in the portal whose decisions will have a giant impact on next year's season. I did read on another board that Vawter is supposed to announce either today or tomorrow.

 

Starting to sound like we may be more in play for Maxwell. Is said that she wants to come SEC. Seeing that the Mike White tweeted may be an assistant.
