I can't think of a single program that uses black to delineate between their two primary colors. Can you?
I'm sure a few have, but to my knowledge most of the teams with strong winning Football traditions haven't worn black jerseys unless it was already part of their primary colors.
Will probably look about as good as the gator skin unis from the A&M game in 2017. Hopefully this gimmick will meet a similar fate.
Black and white are both neutral colors....the black for uga is comparable to the white for Bama or Tenn. And everyone doesn't wear white every week, plenty wear black
and why is everyone on my lawn all the time… myah. Back in my day… the cokes were 50 cents and we ran the wishbone … we hiked uphill both ways to class… and we liked it
Special GatorGrowl Rule 3c: "Whenever a poster can disparage UcheaT or Gumps, and especially LegHumpers or Holes, their point is deemed valid." LOL!
Aren’t almost all teams white on the home or away jersey in every major sport on the planet every other week?
Ohio state, Florida state , Oklahoma and Tennessee have all.worn a black alternate jersey and have all won national titles before, some have won more than us.
I took this to be a discussion of home unis since away team wears light jerseys (unless flipped like lsu)
But I can’t tell which is which without zooming on their helmets. Thumbs down. If they want their pudding , let them have it.
Well the helmets are the most defining part of every jersey combo, it's always the primary focus and ours will not be hard to spot so that helps you with that issue, and also besides Tennessee's super bright orange which I imagine jumps out at you against that black like it does to me the other 3 teams all have a different kind of red tone which is also lucky for anyone having a hard time differentiating the shades because we will have orange and blue popping off of the black which itself is different from any other team we'll be playing. I highly doubt you'll have a hard time figuring out which team is the Gators if for no other reason than we'll be only team that will be wearing black in the game.
Thanks. I was hoping there was some insider formula that I wasn't privy to. IF game 1 is X AND game 2 is Y, THEN game 3 is Z unless Y + X = ESPN AND it's the 1st Saturday of November
Since there are two networks broadcasting SEC football, there is some formula that allows CBS to pick the games, then ESPN most but not all weeks. Some of those choices can be made relatively close to the game time whereas some are made prior to the season (like Florida-Georgia). Its frustrating for fans that aren't local and have to plan travel to be able to take in a game, similar to fans having already had to purchase Utah tix prior to learning that it would be a Thurs night game.
