While we all play the waiting game, nothing like reminiscing about music from the past - speaking of smoke:
Do we have any info on our next softball class that will sign in November? Thanks in advance if someone can point me in the right direction.
Go to maxpreps twenty top softball players for 2024….four of them are to be ours! Also I think we have Taylor Schumaker….not sure of her ranking.
Taylor is not ranked in the Top 50 by Softball America. The clips I have seen of her look really good. Hopefully, she is under the radar.
Yep. Taylor Shumaker, who committed to UF, is not on that Top 20 list and she's tearing it up in travel ball this summer. Very impressive young lady. Also, don't be surprised of Layla Lamar backs off her commitment and goes to a school closer to home. Her Dad almost died recently and has major health issues. Her Mom is the coach at Duke. Hope she comes to Florida because she's not only great in her own right, but has a younger sister who is just as good.
Which tells you all you need to know about the accuracy of all of these rankings. I guarantee I have seen Taylor play more than anyone that compiles these lists. With the clips I posted, you all here probably have also. I don't care if they rank her 999....she's the best I've seen in a long time. Edit: That ranking is also from February before her junior high school season and before this summer's travel. Once she started on fire the first couple weeks of June, I kept waiting for her to come back to earth and simply be very good. Not only did it not happen, she continually got better.
Thank you very much! Just curious, but how do we not get the Heavener girl form Pace, FL? Her name is royalty in Hogtown.
We have Oxley from bartow who beat Pace in state finals coming in. They are in the same class. Heavener is going to LSU. Maybe she'll transfer after a year of mediocaracy there lol.
Katelynn stats look really great. I think one year she posted a 0.10 ERA. recently pitched a perfect game. and she helped win the state championship this season. and was named the number 1 pitcher in florida ( 2022) I can't wait to see how Chelsey works with her and helps her throughout her collegiate career.
