A great and honest way to describe Trump cultists:

“There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.” - Soren Kierkegaard

Statistically referred to as Type 1 and Type 2 errors but politically just an orange-faced error

I'm sorry, I am here by mistake. I thought from the title this thread was about the Biden/Harris administration.

Not wrong. But that’s also a pretty good way to describe a 9/11 Myther … in case you know one.

The last poll I checked was a Zogby International poll in 2006, according to which 45 percent of Americans believed that "so many unanswered questions about 9/11 remain that Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any U.S. government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success." IOW in 2006 almost half of the people in this country were fools. I don't know if the percentage has changed or if they even conduct such polls anymore. What difference does it make?

Well with Trump getting about 47% of the vote in 2020, the percentage of the country that are fools hasn't changed much.

Well, you said that, not me. But I would also point out that Bush (Second of his name) was still President in 2006. Many of those were 9/11 Mythers in name only, you know, as a means to attack the other guy, not because they actually believed that nonsense. I give the example of Van Jones and note how quickly he distanced himself once Obama won election and he didn’t really need anyone to believe that anymore. That’s also why “they” don’t conduct such polls anymore. There isn’t any more political advantage to be gained from it.

But let’s not call anyone who still believes 9/11 was committed or assisted by anyone other than Al-Qaeda as “fools.” That’s just rude. Let’s just say they believe what isn’t true, and they refuse to believe what is true.

    Oh, I see!

I thought some U.S. government fools (headed I think by Senator Bob Graham) put out a report that included Saudi Arabia helping finance 9/11. I know that Bush went so far as to suppress some two dozen pages on the subject of his Saudi buddies involvement. But of course there are those who say it isn't true or they refuse to believe that it's true, that it was all Al Qaeda. But of course we mustn't forget those fools on the 9/11 Commission who stated in their commission repot that the question of who helped finance 9/11 is "not significant." Really!

But frankly I don't really want to discuss 9/11 with fools who think it was just Al Qaeda. I'll leave it at that.
