https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/07/10/turkey-nato-summit-eu-sweden/ So Biden helps get Turkey approval for Sweden coming into NATO. For all of Trump’s supposed deal making abilities, Biden quietly and in a workman like way actually gets things done - Sweden NATO deal - Leading coalition supporting Ukraine against Russia - Debt ceiling deal - IRA - infrastructure - chips act This is what competent governance looks like.
TBF, one of T’s directives from Putin was to destroy NATO, so while not as effective as Biden, he was also making real progress in his own lane.
Biden is making it happen for those that voted for him. The grievances against him for those policies is expected. so far, his two promises not kept are fine with me. https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/biden-promise-tracker/?ruling=true
It just shows these days that all of the political theater really has nothing to do with what actually happens.
Thank you, thank you. But, hey, let's focus on his gaffs. The contrast between him and his predecessor couldn't be more stark. The only things he hasn't done - damn him' - is pass a two trillion dollar tax bill benefiting the middle and lower classes.
Don't give sleepy Joe any credit for saving the world. He does his best work beating up his staff and ignoring his 7th grandchild. A HISTORIC DAY: In recent weeks, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg has demonstrated why member nations were so anxious to keep him around for another year. The former prime minister of Norway managed to broker a deal that clears the way for Sweden to join Finland as the newest member of the trans-Atlantic alliance. Stoltenberg’s personal intervention, culminating in yesterday’s meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, broke the deadlock that threatened to block Sweden’s accession to NATO indefinitely.
Inflation - I’ll agree to a degree, the fiscal stimulus was probably excessive. But much of the inflation was supply based, as evidenced by higher inflation worldwide, and I think the fact that we came out of pandemic so well economically was partly due to the fiscal stimulus. Border - again, I’ll agree to a degree, but this situation existed prior to Biden Energy dependence - no idea what you are talking about here. Green initiatives are rapidly adding capacity, and at the same time we are pumping out record domestic oil production. You are dead wrong here. Trillions of debt - again agree to a degree. The stimulus was excessive but most of it was due to pandemic and would have been high regardless.
'Dealmaker' Biden just skipped the NATO leader dinner citing his workload...days after he lounged on the beach. Where's Waldo is a better description of granpa.
Biden didn't broker a damn thing, Jens Stoltenberg did. Joe Biden can't 'broker' the shoes and socks he wears everyday. The only thing keeping Joe upright is his handlers clearing the way beforehand.
