She’s Jewish too. LOL. I saw this too and googled her and read her wiki page. She’s experienced some traumatic brain injuries in her life that I’m thinking might be at play here. No excuse of course just saying.
It sure is a shame that her primetime show was canceled for her totally mainstream views. Cancel culture is out of control!
A while back I posted a study that said people who suffer severe brain trauma have a tendency to be more conservative and open to conspiracy theories, so that could be a legitimate reason for her comments. Then again I know a lot of Jews who have no problem munching down a bacon cheeseburger.
I think there is an outside possibility that she was somehow trying to be sarcastic/ironic/funny, but even if that's true, it is reprehensible language and extremely poor judgement.
Well, good judgement and Roseanne Barr have never been associated in my mind. She has never been averse to being abrasive.
Her son says it was sarcasm. Roseanne Barr's Son Defends Comments About Denying Holocaust, Says It's Sarcasm
She also claimed the election was rigged. But the host of the podcast said it was all sarcasm. Rosanne Barr Says ‘Nobody Died in The Holocaust’ in Utterly Unhinged Rant
Of course they are gonna say it was sarcasm. But I fail to see how saying it didn’t happen is meant to be funny, unless they were laughing at deniers right before that.
She is indeed a wacko but that was a truncated clip. I wonder if it says more about her or society today that we can’t really tell these days.
Nobody in their near right mind says the things she said as a joke, sarcasm or whatever. Maybe, if the host was a Nazi and she was trolling him, but he seemed genuinely surprised by what was coming out of her mouth.
I recalled her nasty tweet about Valerie Jarrett, which Barr blamed on Ambien. I had forgotten she also went after Susan Rice in the same way. https://thehill.com/blogs/in-the-kn...roseannes-past-tweet-comparing-her-to-an-ape/
Agree with all. Clearly she was trying to be funny and deliberately absurd, perhaps thinking that being Jewish insulated her from being taken seriously. Failure of judgement in all accounts.
