I would say the need to outlaw educators teaching 5 to 8 year olds about differing sexual orientations and transgenders is an example of DeSantis rolling back crazy leftist ideology. That the bill caused such an uproar was validation he hit the bullseye. And people try the tactic of mocking it as if to say it never happens. Well, then great, the governor just outlawed something that never happens. What’s the big deal? Frankly, I was shocked this was even a thing in schools and DeSantis’ bill drew my attention to how nutso our educational institutions have become.
Ok I asked for an example of something that was rolled back, and you gave me something that was never specifically rolled out by democratic politicians and likely never happens. Because in outlawing something that never happened, he made it ambiguous under what if any circumstances it can be discussed, such as if a teacher or a class member has same sex parents. Also it effectively banned many of the same things up through high school.

Ron DeSantis didn't get 60% of the vote because of his "war on woke". He got 60% of the vote because he reopened a tourism-based economy that tanked as the result of Covid lockdowns. Florida's unemployment rate went from around 8% in the summer of 2000 to 2.5% when DeSantis ran for reelection in 2022.
