Another trophy for the trophy case. Holloway really is something else. Please do whatever it takes to keep him, Stricklin.
Might be just me, but it always drives me nuts seeing runners slowing down before they cross the finish line. Willie was barely ahead!

Try it at 400 meters. As a former sprinter, I can tell you that the goal is to run out of gas as you hit the tape. Doing that is nearly impossible.
For today, it appears as if Texas is going to run away with the Women's Outdoor Natty on their home track. Based on likely points UF will finish around #5 with an outside chance of finishing as high as #2. Arkansas will have to have some unexpectedly poor performances today to not finish either 2nd or 3rd. I expect some combination of TAMU & Oregon to finish behind Arkansas and just ahead of UF. LSU should finish 6th. We have no qualified relay teams, which really hurts, and there was an inexplicable disqualification of Vanessa Watson in the 400H before she even got out of the blocks in the semifinal. She was expected to score points for UF, who prior to the meet was predicated to finish 2nd behind Texas. Texas just has too many high point scorers today for anyone but them to win the meet. Never count out Mouse in a championship setting, but this appears too great a spread, even for him, to overcome.
The UF women finished 2nd fueled by Jasmine Moore's win in the triple jump, freshman Alida van Daalen's 3rd in discus, Talitha Diggs better than expected results in the 400 & 200, and Parker Valby winning the 5K in an incredibly gutty performance. Texas ran away with the meet as expected. Arky finished 3rd, Oregon 4th and TAMU 5th. Given all the injuries and the nonsensical disqualification this was another great performance by the Gators.
Really happy Valby was able to get an individual national championship after all she’s been through. 2nd last year in XC and the 5,000 outdoor is nice, but it’s not being the National Champion.
