And keep in mind this keeps the streak of a NATIONAL TITLE each year for something like the last 15 years or more!
congrats gators! enjoyed this thread learning about team golf and watching on the golf channel. - losing 4 seniors so especially enjoyed the ride.

Missing the following: Volleyball Women’s basketball Men’s Cross Country Women’s Cross Country Lacrosse Every other sport we compete in has won a NC (16 of 21). Mary Wise has come oh so close…. Not sure what it will take the XC teams to break through.
Stellar effort. Quite amazing, really! It's really hard putting the little ball in that little hole. Bloody hell. (miserable game IMHO)! Pretty scenery though. Side note: I went through three sets of clubs before I realized it was me that sucked! Congratulations Gator men! Go Gators
I have been looking for a couple of years and can’t find it. Still have a couple of items from back in the 80’s.
Congrats to a gritty and clutch group of Gators! The only remaining question to me is whether Andy North can bring himself to congratulate his alma mater and the golf program he once played for? Or is he still too disappointed about Chiozza hitting that buzzer beater and bringing down his beloved Wisconsin while in the presence of his "buddy" Aaron Rodgers?
Thought we were toast when the twosomes were going through 11-13. The guys turned things around coming down the stretch. Great golf under pressure! NATIONAL CHAMPS!
I don’t care if it is a doll hair brushing competition, if the Gators are playing for an NCAA sanctioned national championship Im watching!
I imagine they would frown on blaring Tom Petty's Don't Back Down on a golf course but boy did this team epitomize that spirit. From Lin's comeback against Illinois, the entire team coming back to take down FSU when frankly the match looked unwinnable and, even in defeat, Kress battling back to extend his match yesterday. He didn't win but he prevented them from posting a point early and kept pressure on their golfers on the course. Then down the stretch our guys gutted it out even when the bounces weren't going our way. That tournament was fun to watch.
Don't forget they were in real danger of not advancing out of regionals....it was scary even into the 3rd and final round until the guys dug in and got it done. All started with clutch match play at the SEC tournament and taking down top ranked Vandy in the finals

I took golf as PE credit back in 1967 and had the distinction in class of hitting Andy North who was on the green practicing with my second shot.
