Gotta say after watching the replay of Castillo’s putt I will give credit to the FSU guy for handling it with composure and professionalism. Hate his team, but I will give credit where it is due.
Hate nolies, but 2 minutes after that putt dropped the kid was bent over, absolutely distraught. His teammates circled around him in an effort to keep the camera and sound crew away from him. The agony of defeat. Better them than us.
I just knew Ricky was going to sink that putt after watching him get that great read from the FSU putt.
UNC the better team talent wise but GT has a lot of grit which reminds me of us. Lin will need to play to his capabilities tomorrow for us to win more than likely.
He had that putt earlier so he knew how to play it even before the FSU putt. He really didn’t take much time to determine the line that someone normally would with all that was on the line.
Here is something very interesting that I doubt anyone would guess the answer. What Gator leads the team, during match play, in par 3, par 4 and par 5 scoring? KRESS! Dubois was next!
I understand that it’s not football, but I woke up both ready and nervous. Gonna be hard waiting all day for these guys to tee off. Very excited. Go Gators.
I don’t get ESPN, but was able to follow the incredible action on this site. Thank you to all who contributed to the play by play and emotions yesterday!
Incredible tourney across the board....competitive thru 4 rounds and a playoff for the 8th spot Quarters....UF 3 UVA 2, FSU 3 Illini 2, GT 3 Pepperdine 2, UNC 3 Az St 1 (final match was 1 up thru 17) Semis UF 3 FSU 2, GT 3 Unc 2 Just can't get any closer than we have seen
I had posted during stroke play that the field was very much following the rankings.....ironically we see the biggest break from that in the finals. #9 ranked UF vs #11 GT
Interesting that the lead off pairing is Lin - Lamprecht, both of whom got blitzed 6&5 in the semis. Something has to give!
