Concur. I was talking about the country. We are not being victimized from the outside, although the Russians exacerbated preexisting fault lines. But the faults of the Orange Man were not concealed or revealed anew. They were known and were the sources of his appeal to 70 million Americans. And his main rival may lack of some of his personal flaws, but shares his moral degeneracy
These threads are hilarious coming from people who voted for Trump twice and conveniently ignored these statements from the “Orange Man” from 2015 to 2020.
At some point it might be useful to admit the hypocrisy. Did you not vote for Trump twice? Did you start any of these threads when the orange man was useful to you?
In my view, former Trumpers want credit for now realizing that his crude personal failings and rhetorical style causes them to lose elections. Their true objection with him is not moral condemnation but ineffectiveness. They still agree with his vision. They want to win or steal elections to implement the agenda of hate and marginalization. They are pleased because they think they found someone now who can better implement the agenda of racism, homophobia, and marginalization of the other. They think they have identified an alternative that is more capably cruel. And now they complain that they don't get credit from those who are being oppressed and who wish to stand up and object to that oppression, for admitting that his crudity caused them to lose an election and less effectively oppress.
This is typical of this mindset. Once GW Bush was no longer of any political use late in his 2nd term, suddenly no republican anywhere liked him any more and he was officially a RINO.
What’s bewildering to me that some people have just realized this and are shocked by it. This was quite obvious going all the way back to around 2015 with the whole Obama birther thing.
I thought Trump didn’t like those who died for our country in that they were suckers in his mind because they got nothing in return.
It must be nice having lived a life where compromise isn't a possibility and every vote you made was for someone who passed your personal political purity test with 100% the same views as your own.
