Gators need that top 8 seed. Much better team playing at home ( I know most teams can say the same but seems especially so this year.)

5 hits, 14Ks. And that’s the game.

 

A very disappointing game. An early 3-1 lead and our Ace unable to hold it is not encouraging. That and the complete absence of quality at bats (ex Langford and Cags)- highlighted by Heyman chasing a pitch three feet off the plate to end the game. After last night - this is a huge letdown. 20 wins looked good early on but when your top guy can't hold a lead in the middle innings and the team takes a night off at the plate- L in the books.
While we're at it-- Shelly playing it nice and easy on the single to RF that turned into a Double in the 8th is the kind of play that rankles and might cost him a starting spot. That casual play could have been very costly.
Lets go and get the W tomorrow.

 

Not enough but with the pitchers we have could easily hold UK to 3-4.

 

Bottom of the lineup needs to change. We also need better defense in the OF to go to regional play. Sully needs to look at his bench. He has the answer sitting there.

Vanderbilt came from behind to beat Arkansas 10-8. We can still get a share of the overall SEC title with a win and Arky loss Saturday.

 

LSU has to lose also. Arky loses and LSU wins then LSU has the title even if UF wins.

Our pitcher/s failed to see that these Kentucky batters will swing at golf ball low pitches. If they understand that they will whiff all day long at low balls.

I noticed that tendency in our first game against them.

 

Along with our pitchers pitching to the middle of the plate.

I had forgotten about LSU. They will only end up playing 29 games, I think, but only have 9 losses going into Saturday.
