Mass exodus at Colorado

As a long suffering Buff fan I am totally on board with these changes. If UF was coming off of a 1-11 season and had 8 losing seasons in their last 10, would you feel the same if they brought in a new coach and he cleaned house like this? Or is it just your personal disdain for Coach Prime?

I have years reasons for not liking Sanders, but that's not my point. "Cleaning house" with a coaching staff is one thing, throwing dozens of players over the side without even bothering to learn their names, let alone assessing their skills, attitudes, game films, responsibilities for the previous years 1-11 season, etc. etc. is just a lazy arrogant asshole move. Has this guy established a coaching staff yet? Think it might have been reasonable to put his assistants to work racking up what they've got to start with before just "cleaning house"?

Sanders was a hell of a football and baseball player. But he's an asshole, and just demonstrated it again. Did every player on your team suck last year?

 

That roster probably needed a blow torch taken to it, but the way it's done and whether the process is sustainable is important too.

To answer your last question, yes almost every player performed poorly last year. They simply didn’t have the skill level and work ethic needed to succeed. The previous coaching staff couldn’t recruit at all and any good players had transferred out the previous year. The new coaching staff has been in place since December and they have spent their time since then analyzing last years film and evaluating the players during the spring practice. The interesting thing is, you haven’t heard any players with the exception of one or two complaining about being asked to leave. They could tell they weren’t going to be getting any playing time going forward based on the skill level of the new incoming players.

 

Never been a Deion fan. My hope is that he brings in a bunch of players similar to himself and the locker room implodes as a result. Wishful thinking.

Maybe we do a case by case investigation into these players? There might be one player worth taking.

Very few are arguing the "cleaning house".....it is the methodology and treatment of outgoing players that is primarily being called out. And rightfully so, because some of it is despicable
