Texas teen dies rock climbing, two hours later he revives: 'A literal miracle' | Fox News

"He climbed to the top of the wall, rang the bell, as we were told, and then his body went limp, and it looked like he was either playing around or passed out. They weren't quite sure and when they realized he was unresponsive, they lowered him slowly," Jennifer Berko, Sammy's mother, told Houston's Fox 26.

Paramedics and doctors proceeded to administer CPR for two hours before informing Jennifer that, "He's, gone." She and her husband, Craig, sat with their son for a few minutes to say their goodbyes.

"I started talking to him, just telling him how much I love him and sorry that we didn't know how to save him. Suddenly, as I started praying, my husband said, 'Oh my gosh, he's moving,'" said Jennifer to the local news station.

Due to how long Sammy went without oxygen there was fear he suffered a major brain injury. However, aside from some physical injury, he has so far only experienced short term memory loss.

Praise God. It's nice to have a good story with an amazing ending.

uh... who administers CPR for 2 hours? In the movies and TV they give up after 5-10 mins that is edited to seconds. Seems fishy.

There is a story a few ties a year of people waking up at their own funeral. Sometimes weird stuff happens.

    yeah, it kinda does

    How Long to perform CPR?
In 2000, the National Association of EMS Physicians released a statement that CPR should be performed for at least 20 minutes before ceasing resuscitation. More research has been done since then that suggests longer time performing CPR results in higher survival rates.

Many years ago, a buddy and I did it for ~ 45 minutes on a 13 yo kid who had drowned until EMS could get to our remote location. But his siblings, cousins and aunt were standing around screaming and wailing in utter despair and we just couldn't quit although we knew he was gone.

Well, clearly evidence of a God. What else could have possibly happened. Meanwhile, statistically, approximately 2,000 children under the age of 5 died worldwide, during that 2 hour timeframe. Hmm..

God gets credit when good things happen but isn't to be questioned when bad things happen. The article states that his brother died a few years ago from the same genetic mutation. The family has been through enough, and I am happy they didn't have to go through another funeral.

There’s no such thing as miracles, just things that haven’t been explained. To me it probably means the heart rate had slowed to an extreme rate but was still beating, and the first responders were either incompetent, ill-equipped, or both.

Yeah, and don’t they take time to use a defibrillator?

Hehe, people here believing in viruses but not God.

Back on topic, when I certified for CPR we were told it usually breaks risks and something like 15% of people revived ever walk out of a hospital.

LMAO! At this shithole. The loony left cant just take a nice feel good story and leave well enough alone. Instead, they dutifully line up for their regular shit parade, and spew their sewage all over anything that aint skank already.

Thsts why i love this place--serves as a perpetual reminder of how shitty the real world might be, if it was anything like this sewer!
