Men up first in a VERY important match IMO. AU has been all over the place this season, some really quality wins but also some bad losses. This is likely a team UF is head to head with for that second echelon in the SEC and postseason. Need to win at home badly. Spotty start in doubles. Up 5-3 on 1, down 2-4 on 2, down 2-3 on 3
2 and 3 both go to TB, UF takes a close on on 2, were leading on 3 Big point, need to carry to singles
1st sets almost completed Nefve 7-5...ggreat battle Grant 6-3 solid Braswell was down now up 6-5 Nate 6-3, but getting blitzed in 2nd 1-4 Greif 6-3 2-0, playing well of late Tokac lost 2-6 and was down 0-2 in 2nd but has reeled off 3 straight
Grant and Greif up a break in their second sets Nefve still in a dogfight on 1 Braswell gets his 1st set 7-5 Nate down 2-5 but up a set Tokac 4-4 but down a set
W doubles tightens up on every court 4-4 4-4 5-3 Bad stretch for the men Nefve down 2-5, up a set Grant loses a string of games and down 4-5, up a set Braswell 3-1 and up a set Nate loses his 2nd, but up 3-1 in 3rd Greif with a really nice 6-3 6-2 win for second point Tokac 2-6 4-6 really poor loss
Women take the doubles point 6-4, 4-6, 6-3......Briggs and Gailis kind of collapsed in their match on 2 after leading 4-2
Nate and Braswell with nice 6-2 sets to clinch it for UF Looks like Grant won his TB and match Nefve up a break in his 3rd All in all, really really good outing today. Still have a little taste of Bama match but this was a really nice win
Mixed bag in W singles Dahlstrom 3-3- Briggs 5-2 Dudney 1-4 Gailis 4-4 De Oliviera 5-1 Spee 2-3 Appears the Shelton experiment was short lived. Sysoeva remains MIA
First sets wrapping Sara all the way back for 7-5 Briggs 6-2 Dudney 5-7 Gailis 6-4 Emily 6-3 Spee 4-6 4 first sets for UF...ll matches competitive
Dudney and Spee one game away from an L Emily gets it to 5-5.....need her to finish Sara down 2-3 in 2nd
Emily gets it done...nice 2nd set comeback Spee goes down, need Sysoeva back at some point Dudney still battling 4-5 and Sara now up 4-3
Solid win for us, as Auburn had upset South Carolina on Friday. Very proud of our guys as they had to fight through some solid tennis by Auburn to win going away.
Congrtas to the team, probably their most complete match of the season IMO. Now have a huge match at TAMU and then the 4 match gauntlet. Vols seem to be playing better, USC has been the highest ranked but may be the most beatable, UGA and UK will be the toughest imo. Need to somehow get 2 out of the 5, stay over 500 for the season
