Big game Bob is a head coach in the XFL??? What is he making, $100,000 and free Rudy's BBQ for life?

Seriously, is he just over CFB but not over coaching?

    I'm so confused...

Listened to an interview with him here in Dallas yesterday. Sounds like he missed coaching, but did not miss the enormous time suck of recruiting, dealing with academics for a roster of 100+ college players, etc. Coaching in the XFL lets him scratch the coaching itch with roughly a 10-week commitment and a 52-man player roster. He sounded a lot like Jimmy Johnson in his love of football but desire to actually have a life to enjoy outside of it.

So FSU joined the XFL?...Im not sure the NCAA will support this. Theyre so lucky he signed on for that 10 year coaching deal.

It's his second stint with the renegades. He was coaching them when their season ended early the last time. That's why I never got the"bob is tired of coaching" talk. All he has done since leaving OU has been either talk about football, coach football or just be around football. He was just in the position to choose his next path of his career as he saw fit.

He doesn't want to deal with the circus and tomfoolery involved in the world of college football, and I don't blame him.
