Thursday's night match against FSU at Lake Nona will be televised by ESPN+. This is the best team FSU team Coach Shelton has had to face in his 11 years in Gainesville. All foreign kids, and the addition of Chauvinc at number one really makes them formidable. He is eligible this year as a junior. The fact that FSU beat Georgia a couple of weeks ago and Chauvinc took down Georgia's super star freshman Ethan Quinn tells me we are in for a real fight at the USTA National Campus.
Yes FSU has a junior and sophomore type of team. However, you never know if a player, like the one at number one for FSU will stick around for another year. The idea that a player in tennis is going to complete all of their eligibility is no longer a given. Especially with foreign players who are not eligible for NIL deals.

Pretty big win, I thought we were in trouble tonight. Not only that,may be a big help in seeding later in the year. We are going to really like the freshman Braswell from what I have seen, tough Great to see Nate pick up the pace, solid second set from Nefve vs a top 10 type player, think Tokac has the look of a quality player as well. Need more from Greif or one of the Polish guys to get healthy and impact the lineup.
Young guys stepped up which is a great sign for the future. Didn't catch the double point win, but that was big. Top ten ranked USC up next.
I assume hold started this thread because I can’t see it except in the forum menu. Still weird to me that he has me on ignore, but glad I saw it, didn’t realize we were playing. Very nice win.
These young Gators play with such heart. Every member of the squad was into this rivalry tonight and did their job to produce another win. I can tell you that this FSU squad expected to win and this one will hurt for quite a while to FSU coach Dwayne Hultquist. The noles were without a big cog in their lineup Andreua Petrovic (number three for the noles) tonite but you know what. In late spring when the computer spits out the national team rankings the only thing next to Florida's name against FSU will be a W!. Tough weekend coming up at Lake Nona with Southern Cal and Stanford on the menu but right now this squad is gonna celebrate a truly team win over the hated semis.
