It's not about what happened but how rivals will spin it. We don't know what went down but the clickbait will be more salacious if media and schools report UF is rotten.
I like this post...except for one BIG reason. The "game" involved bidding 6 MILLION versus 7 MILLION for an unproven commodity. This aspect makes it all so silly. Why would anyone do this????
I’m betting we didn’t - especially immediately after publicly stating that we won’t get into bidding wars
Then what is the better explanation as to why he suddenly "got religion" and changed "back" to us? His final choice seems to say he was all about the deal.
F*ck rivals. If the kid is remotely serious about UF he will visit and I have confidence that Napier and staff can ease any concerns about UF living up to NIL commitments. There isn’t one recruit to date that hasn’t heaped praise on UF and Napier after visiting UF. That part they have down. If we aren’t willing/able to meet the kid’s (or the kid’s parents’) expectations around the $ize of the bag, then as far as I’m concerned we don’t want him anyway
Josh Pate claimed he knew all the details of exactly what happened and was going to spill the beans and name names when JR was released. Well just as suspected, he didn’t/won’t , bupkis.
How our lawyers who think they know how to do their job didn’t see this coming a mile away is beyond me.
If I may opine, lawyers as we think of them are the utility folks who do the job that the Grand Pooba's want to do. Now a lawyer who wants to be a Grand Pooba is indeed kind of burning the candle on both ends. As I posted above, it is SILLY to be in a bidding war at the levels we seem to be getting to for unproven talent.
I guess Napier didn’t ‘have his back’? Could that maybe be becuase he didn’t get involved in the nil deal and just let it play out like he’s supposed to do?
Kenny Dillingham was just hired as the Head Coach, was an Assistant at Oregon. Soooo how did he always have his back?? LMAO Respect my decision.
The school doesn't give NIL to anyone and can't get involved (stopping) with a 3rd party providing NIL.
