We will never know but I wonder if Colorado “NIL” deal was more than what Miami paid him to flip. Obviously the allure of Coach Prime helped, but we know money was a huge factor
Have a hard time believing that a Colorado collective could or would pay more than Ruiz. The fact that it's "coach prime" who was a DB probably had a lot to do with it.
Yes and no. That's his sales pitch and I get it but great players don't necessarily make great coaches. Deion had incredible closing speed and ability that can't always be translated to another athlete when coaching technique. In any event he's a head coach not a DB coach so the allure is most likely the hype and celebrity that comes with Deion.
He will have input on helping the DB's come on now. He also has Kevin Mathis as the cornerback coach who played 115 games in the NFL.
Ruiz U could’ve paid any amount above anyone, and chose not to in this case. Did they get tired of his antics, and momma, see Bama also, and UF.
Great players don’t always become great coaches. Matter of fact, most of the greatest coaches weren’t all that as professionals
well he was a great coach at JSU, time will tell if he can replicate it at the highest level in college
Douglas and Etienne were productive, talent-wise Hunter is in another stratosphere, and JSU was so dominant and loaded that he didn't really need to put up stats. I think at a P5 level we'll see what he's really made of and if he lives up to the hype.
