Captain obvious here. #1 Not so good news. UGA, thats all I will say. Kind of the last hammer blow to the UF faithful of this rather pedestrian season. #2 Transfer Portal - I'm a wee bit worried that UF is falling a bit behind in this area, at least so far. We have picked up some nice players but it looks to me like we need 6 - 8 more to have a full complement of players. The deadline is coming up pretty quick and from my analysis UF is not very highly "ranked" for incoming transfers. #3 Traditional signing day in Feb. - Anyone care to take a shot at (realistic) UF aquisition projections for Feb.?? It seems that few "top-shelf" guys we were/are in on will be available? Slim pickings? I wonder if UF is even seriously considering Cormani now given his disposition toward UF since his (faux commit) to Myama. #4 Any UGA / TCU kids popping? I can't bring myself to go anywhere near anything UGA related right now. Thanks

You should hear what some of the Bama fans are saying after last night - even with all the success they have had under Saban. Talk about spoiled….
Yeah, well, the way I see it College Football is cyclical. Bama fans should enjoy the last few years of Saban. I have no doubt they will eventually crash and burn just like every other program, including Bama's, in the future. On the UF front, my general picture is that UF, the Administration and the Fan Base have recommitted themselves to success. How committed remains to be seen in the NIL world I suppose. I do believe, not without good reason, that UF is bottoming out and will emerge a top flight competitive school in the near future. New Coach, New Facilities, Best Recruiting Grounds in the country, Good Media Market, top 5 public college ranking and a strong Alumni Base would suggest that UF should once again emerge as a contender. At least IMO
Hi paid - I thought that the Transfer Portal now has "deadlines". I'm sorry I do not know the exact dates of those deadlines. At least thats my understanding.
That's just the date to enter the portal. Once they're in, they're in. They don't HAVE to find their new home before the window closes just have to be entered by then. There is a deadline that is much more important, to me at least, that would be the date to be enrolled for Spring semester, so they can participate in spring practice. IIRC, someone said that date is the 13th. That doesn't mean we won't be able to continue to take more kids after that date, just that they won't be able to participate in spring football. I could be wrong on that, but I believe they have to actually be enrolled to participate in practice.
Yep, my last tequila rampage was at UF. While I still have an occassional margarita no more "tequila benders" for me.
