I like the early signing period as it eliminates lte flips and let’s you know what you really have on roster.

ESD is not the problem. The portal transfers by same players multiple times is the problem. EJ going from UF to Arizona to Cincy. You have kids transferring 3-4 times during college. Too easy to transfer. Make them sit out a year. Make them lose a year of eligibility. Kids can get 5 or 7 years of eligibility now. Eliminate the redshirts and just give everyone 4 years. I don’t care, but stop the constant transfers. It is worse than the NFL. If you don’t start within a year or are not on the 2 deep Spring depth chart, you are gone

 

Why?
Scholarships are only one yr contracts. Players should be able to look for a new one every year. Why do you want to punish players?

If I was I. Charge of a stable program, I wouldn’t specifically target kids that move around very much.

 

I don't disagree with that. A player transferring once can have several legitimate reasons why.
Bad fit, playing time, homesick, lied to by coaches etc
After that, a second or third transfer is a sign.

 

So we took a chance on Cox and we was no Greenard. Not a bad gamble though
