The 2023 men and women track roster are out. As expected both Champ Allison and Joseph Fahnbulleh are not listed and have gone pro. Anna Hall is also not listed. Apparently young sprinters Jadon Maddox and Zak Sedaros are no longer running… although Sedaros was on the football roster as a walk-on the last I heard, so he may still be doing both. Dedrick Vanover was a senior and is not listed. Jacob Miley is back. Claire Bryant, Jasmine Moore, Grace Stark, and Gabrielle Wilkinson are all listed, as are all the reported transfers and signees. Both teams look to very strong across the board especially in the events we have been traditionally excellent in, but with some some definite help in the jumps. (men)
Heard we may be adding a few more transfer in Dec..we look very solid on both teams. Also Cam Miller left for Lousville, kid had so much talent but could not stay healthy. I thought for sure Vanover was going to come back
Another CC pickup from Bucholz. This one is interesting, he set an area record in the 5K. He’s only 44th nationally but has taken over thirty seconds off his best time in the last few months. Buchholz's Emerson Miller sets all-time 5K cross country record at meet in Georgia
I think we can go with a mix like tennis and golf. Our last 2 great CC runners are Valby (local) and Pascoe (Aussie).
Perhaps the just announced hire of an Alabama assistant CC coach will help. Alabama swept men's and women's SECs.
I just saw this and almost spit out my coffee. Really excited to see if this can help us compete for SEC and national titles.
