Agreed. You can't lock down the state of Florida but if it's your home state you'd better be taking your pick of the litter.

no doubt. This is how I feel about what Miami under MC and Florida under CBN are trying to do:

Too much money tied into Cristobal and Napier to even entertain cutting bait regardless of how year two goes. Both programs have fans who DO NOT understand what the word REBUILD REALLLLLLY means. You have to strip a program down to its core and build it back up. I think both coaches looked at this past season as an evaluation year. NOBODY from either side would have blinked an eye if they purged the roster last year but they just didn't rush it and played with house money in 2022. They wanted to win obviously, but they are both trying to build a LONG TERM program and not a quick fix band aid. I looked about both of our 2022 classes and saw that as the season went on, both coaches started to play THEIR guys whether is was portal of HS guys and low key....the results weren't too bad at all.

I also think whatever/if any staff changes are made, that'll tell you what both coaches feel. If neither make position/coordinator changes, then they're basically saying the issue was the players and not the coaches. If coaches are replaced, they're saying the players are good but the coach(es) weren't. Do either coach have the balls to make the necessary coaching moves remains to be seen. Don't seem like that's going to happen unless they have someone who's coaching in an upcoming bowl game and being respectful and waiting until their game is finished before plucking/announcing them.

Twitter hasn't integrated the ability to record/save/archive Spaces. Someone would have to have the recorder app on their phone and record and upload it that way.

And Spaces on Twitter is basically an audio chat room and there are folks who'll start a Spaces and be in there for HOURS

Great post, dude. This is a long term, complete overhaul which is closer to the scope of what Pell faced rather than what was dealt with by any of the UF coaches since.

Hopefully the powers that be will let it play out as such.

bruh, we HAVE to let it play out. I said it in another post, coaches who can come in and turn around a program at the drop of a hat and SUBSTAIN it at a championship contending level are few and far in between. Kelly did it with ND but benefited from scheduling and Riley can do that for now at USCw and will have to prove himself once they defect to the Big 10 in 2 years. Other than that, and those two coaches are on their way to the HOF imo or will be in the convo for it, you HAVE to give your guy time. Unless CBN just completely bottoms out the way Taggart did at FSU in 2019 and begin to look incompetent, you give him 2023-2025 and hope that his plan has the roster and program in CFP expansion contention every year going forward. LSU, Bama, UGA have an inside track on in state HS talent with no other legit P5 school (yea Auburn and GT but you get my drift) to battle them for unlike our state even when one of the big 3 schools is on top.

    Never say never!

You can give it your best shot and stop the Bloody poaching by Saban, Smart(?), Day, and all the other non
    non UF football coaches.

New CBM slogan : Florida is MINE!

Fastest closing speed has to be Tyrone Williams, team mate to Tommie Frazier at Manatee
high and Nebraska, then later with the Packers where he started at DB and won a SB.

^ Contrary to popular belief, Nebraska didn’t pound us because they were “big ol’ corn fed boys” but rather because they were faster at key positions. Ex: their outside linebackers weighed 199 and 197 respectively.

They were just faster at key positions. They didn’t so much maul us as finesse us.

    Their star DE went 240.

Teammates loving a guy who was not very good at all vs a guy who could have taken them places. We need to require logic and rationale class to first years.
