Big loss as before his injury midway through last year, thought he was making great progress.

I imagine Waites will be moved back to tackle, but we have little depth behind him and Barber in a key position.

Since he has already earned his bachelor's degree, I wonder if he is looking for a specific masters program that perhaps UF doesn't offer.

I really really really like CBN,class act but if he really believes he can sell love and affection over Do-Ray-Me Gator Nation has a HUGE problem going forward.

The love and affection shtick may have worked pre NIL, Transfer Portal and Conference Expansion but it's a new world now and most of these kids parents we are recruiting are not recognized for being stacked with cash and money is not an "issue". Maybe a few, but not many.

When you get passed by a freshman who gets freshman AA honors and have a new coach, portal looks appealing. Wish he had stayed but such is life now.

I feel quite confident that CBN knows exactly how the world works via Money/NIL, I also feel quite confident its not his decision on who gets paid and how. His rules are being dictated by his employer. The outside influence of NIL has more to do with whomever decides they want to invest in Gator Athletes and how they work with the administration. I see many here say that "We" have more money than this school or that, but frankly that's irrelevant unless the people that own that money want to step up to the plate and use it. The school itself can only offer what the stipend limits are, etc. Could the administration start to look the other way and allow private boosters and organizations start to play the game like some others obviously are, sure. Will they? Most likely not.

BRAVO - How far down the rabbit hole do the Gators go?
I don't have any idea but UF does have a history of not being one of the "SEC Good Ole Boys" when it comes to those in college football authority and avoiding CHEATING repercussions, as the well documented Charlie Pell and Galen Hall experience proved.

It is kinda tough watching Miami seemingly abusing every rule and throwing the dough but I will readily admit, I am not plugged into the facts and am clueless as to the actual realities.

But if what you posted is true, and I believe it is, UF will remain a second class SEC citizen when it comes to recruiting and by inference, in the wins and losses category.

Not exactly the scenerio Gators imagined and it probably will result in UF firing and hiring coaches like boxes on a UPS conveyor belt. Poor Billy..............

 

I’m not sure why you are under the impression that we are not spending money. We are. We just aren’t going to reach too far over someone’s value. We are not going to give a DB or RB, high end QB money. And we shouldn’t.

 

I am not under the impression we are not spending money. I am under the impression that we are losing top 50 Florida and top 100 national talent and it does have something to do with money.

But we don’t have an infinite amount of money laying around. We have to work with what we have. If that means we decide not to spend more on Cormani than Denson, Jackson & Dijon combined then it’s the smart thing to do.

I know Miami has some shiny toys at the top of their class that get all the attention but it is not as deep as ours top to bottom.

Why can't everyone be more straight forward and just call it like it is. We always hear this stuff about "other factors". The "other factor" is money.

Let's all just get rid of this whole charade of amateurism and say the player(s) wanted more money. Say what you want about the NFL, but at least everyone is up front that it is all about being a business.
