Which linebacker not playing? Praying Ventrell is playing.

Not sure we know on him yet. He's done for sure and headed to the NFL, but his Bowl game status is currently unknown. He's really a leader out there, besides being a great player. Hope we get some good news on that. But...his attendance in that game is pretty unlikely. It's the times. Also he made his statement to Gator Nation already, sans any reference to the bowl game.

I have no insider info, just haven't seen anything yet.

    Go Gators.

Sure enough, the spread is already to Oregon State -9.5. Probably not much movement from here. Hopefully we really show up and surprise some people.

Those early bowl games are a raw deal, especially in this age of high roster turnover.

They'll just put the game up on the big screen instead of the people walking across the stage (borrrrrrring) :)

According to Spivey, the coaches were on the road yesterday, and again today. Doesn't look like much practicing is happening at all. Very challenging times for the staff trying to balance recruiting and the short prep time.

Wow, I didn't think about that.
So basically you may be looking at a regular game week kind of schedule. 3-4 practices tops.

Same for Oregon St.'s coaches. Most of them are out recruiting per an article I read (Oregonian?).

Would they consider a 7 on 7 type game? Just saying! :eek:o_O:confused:

Everyday someone declares for the portalo_O Lotta four stars being replaced by a lotta four stars. This is good, right?

    Go Gators-get them Beavers!

How many opt-outs does Oregon St have? I’m curious if their staff has also lost the team.

Our staff hasn’t lost the team. They’re making room for the incoming class. We knew this was going to happen before the season even started.

Would you prefer that we only take 10 or so new players this year?

The worst memory I may ever have of the Gators is when the team gave up end of last season. That has never happened in my memory.

I personally am excited to see a full field of Gators who actually want to be on the field.

I don’t care about the transfers. I do care about the opt-outs. I do care about the “Meh. Losing season. Whatever” attitude. I’m hopeful that, as you might be suggesting, this is ridding ourselves of the toxic elements and that future seasons will look different.

And, no, we shouldn’t accept this as the new normal. I notice that our opponent has a team that wants to be there, and that they don’t find the game to be “meh” or “whatever.”
