Damn, our D really could have used Hopper’s production. Carlos Del Rio though, yikes!

Out of all that left, only one I think would have helped our team is.....really none of them. I don't think Hopper would have made that much a difference on our D and same with someone like Copeland had he stayed. A lot of those guys, really all of those guys who transferred, already peaked

Yea lots of whiffs by the previous staff. It’s like they just subscribed to 24/7 for their scouting.

Cope’s numbers were actually better with us last year. We could probably still have used him this year. Hopper would give us some depth at LB. I think he would’ve maybe allowed Burney to fill in instead of the other way around.

No way Hopper doesn't shore up our defense considerably compared to what we had this year. I love James potential and I'm not sure which way Scooby will go but our backers were so lost this year there is no way a 2nd veteran and solid tackler doesn't make a significant difference. Look how much just Miller being out (except fsu) hurt us compared to when he played. Now add a second arguably better backer and I think it changes things

our run D was bad WITH Miller there and wasn't much of a difference when he wasn't in there but he DID stand out as a LB who was making plays from time to time. I like Hopper, wish he stayed, but I think unless an LB was going to be giving us Herald Perkins type production, our D was still going to be bad.

I can see that and Miller wasn't perfect but when we were as green as we were I just think having a second competent experienced player can have a greater effect than we realize. It's not the same as one extra player when you have a competent two deep. We literally had one guy with experience most of the year. Watching Williams getting ran out of plays was brutal to watch. Crazy we were at the point of relying on him and James this year. Should never happen.

I get what you mean. I need to retract my statement because there were gaps there to be filled that an experienced player like Hopper would have filled had he been the LB instead of Scooby or James or whoever else played there. I honestly think Gamble would have helped as a blocker and better pass option than Zanders too at TE. Not saying he would have set the world on fire, but I remember him looking a bit more "athletic" with the ball in his hands than Zanders

Mizzous coach said Hopper was the the most "talented / athletic" player on the squad.

Indiana Jones, former 5-star recruit in committed to Princeton in 1936. Spent many years abroad following enrollment, now entered transfer portal and has one year of eligibility left as a grad transfer. Must get for CBN in this class IMO.
