A Traditional Council in Kipnuk, Alaska shut the local school down as the local Tribal Police tried to take the principal into custody for unknown reasons. The Tribal Police also tried to enter teacher housing units on site. The local (U.S.) police could not arrive that same day because they did not have an airplane lined up, and when they did arrive, the Tribal Police blocked their access to the town. The principal wound up being banished and the rest of the teachers were flown out.

I believe Alaska Man could give Florida Man a run for his money.

Interesting, never heard about it. But I hope that everything will be figured out at the end, kids have to study

A little more on why the principal was banished. Seems that that the Tribal Council may have actually had cause.
Banishment of Kipnuk principal followed allegations of disrespect, poor communication and COVID safety fears

lasting a decade in that environment is rare. Most administrators at these outlying tribal schools in Alaska only last 2 or 3 years before they alienate someone of authority. My uncle did this for 10 years and worked at three different schools during that time frame due to the local politics and him always being an outsider
