Wash takes down Oregon. The PAC-12 is out of the little 4 team playoff, again. Dan Lanning has done a nice job in his first year though. Someone is gonna throw a boatload of $$$ at him in hopes of landing him.
what was the questionable call? the receiver stepped out of bounds trying to get by the defender and ended up stepping on the line so he cant make the catch (which was pretty good).
It was not questionable at all. The announcers tried making it out to be he got pushed out but not even close to a pushout. He ran around the defender, stepping out of bounds. That is a flag every time.
Amazing how a lack of any Defense in the conference can make Bo Nix from Auburn look like a great QB at Oregon.
USC still has a shot at the playoffs. They were ranked 8 as of yesterday. Will be 7 this week, with games against UCLA, Notre Dame, and then a PAC 12 Championship game. Only loss now is a 1 point loss at Utah. Arizona beating UCLA last night hurts, but I'm happy.
His comments about taking the Auburn job, lead me to believe he's there to stay. If he does leave, his comments will be on repeat for a month. He went a little over the top with denying his interest in any jobs.
You must not have seen the game to make that comment. Lanning going to be lucky to have a job in 15 months if BS like that keeps up.
The questionable call which I'm sure you know, was did he go out on his own or was he pushed out by the defender. Was not definitive at all.
He went out of bounds to avoid the elbow, not from the defender pushing him out. How a defender is flagged is he angles his route to force the receiver to go out of bounds OR they are side by side and he bumps the receiver out. If you go back and watch the video of the play, the defender sets his box and as the receiver tries to run him over, the defender puts out his elbow and the receiver goes around him. But since he botched his imitation of an SEC-caliber receiver by going around the defender but stepping out of bounds, it's on him, not the defender. The defender has every right to that spot on the field.
