Well that answers alot of questions about his reduced role. If he has eligibility left he will be a grad transfer. The same can be said about Whittmore, who already has graduated. Napier most likely had a serious conversation about their future and him wanting to get the young talent reps.
Thought a coach was talking when it was Wingo. Is he majoring in communication/broadcasting?Great voice.
If you want a glimpse on which ~23 players won't be returning next season, just follow that link this week as they honor the seniors. On a more important note: thanks and congrats to Nayquan!
I like Wright as well, and I think he’s a great player, but who would you want to take off the field in order for Wright to be on the field?
Probably one of the receivers, but these same folks also want Whittemore to get more touches. They can’t all play at the same time, and they won’t get a target every time they see the field either.
For sure, D Wingo sounds like a CEO. Tremendous future for him....and no, not NFL. Good! A great representative of UF.
Man, I wish Nay'Quan all the best in his future. If he has the players respect like that, you know he's a great guy. Thanks for being a great Gator Nay'Quan. Maybe one more wheel route before you go.... GO GATORS!!!!
I'm a fan of two back sets, at least occasionally. One fewer TE so that in that set we only have 8TEs on the field.
I feel kind of bad for Nayquan. He played in 6 games this year. If he had played in 4 only, he could have red-shirted and saved the year for wherever he goes to next. Or did he take his redshirt already?
I am too and saw it referred as "the pony formation" on one game this weekend. I also wished we would use "the jumbo formation" which adds a sixth lineman
We don't yet push defenses. It doesn't mean our plays won't work often, sometimes they do work. georgia's offense pushes defenses, LSU's does, Tennessee's did, until last Saturday. I really liked AR's play action pass to a receiver down the seem last week. First time I recall us using that play, but it was money. A two back set with play action and a Nay'Quan on a swing pass seems natural. That seem route is still an option there, or another receiver's route. The point is, stretch the defense. Hard to defend.
List of players walking on senior day. * denotes a walk-on player QB Jack Anders* P Jack Brady* WR Justin Curtis* S Trey Dean III QB Kyle Engel* OT Richard Gouraige K Travis Freeman* OL Will Harrod TE Noah Keeter* RB Lorenzo Lingard LB Ventrell Miller WR Jordan Pouncey WR William Sawyer* WR Justin Shorter P Tyler Waxman* LS Chase Whitfield* WR Trent Whittemore RB Nay’Quan Wright
It appears as if Lingard is checking out also. I have to believe we are going to sign another RB transfer for depth. Who would fit the bill, capable but never to start a game?
