My favorite military assignment was at Shaw AFB, South Carolina. I got an associates degree from USCe right before Steve Spurrier arrived, then I transferred to Florida in time to witness two national championships. Good times.

 

Cost of living. Avatar is downtown Columbia SC, from my balcony. Going back to the swamp this weekend for first time in 10+ years

I was able to attend the finals of the SEC women's Soccer tournament yesterday and South Carolina (the Lady Cocks?? the Cock Comandress??) beat Alabama, so, there is that.

My last two trips through the state on I-95 were a nightmare. Given that, I must abstain from saying anything nice about that state. It is forever known to me now as the flyover state.

 

We love going to the beautiful beaches there.

Would rather live on the beach in Florida though.
