That was the latest rumor, 3 permanent for everyone, 6 rotating, the best 2 records at the end go to the title game.

We have more than only 22 players that are good... just look at the young players that are and should be getting reps in games and I can see we have far more than 22 players that are PF ready. We have near ready extras on the back end of the defense as well as on the D-line and some very close to ready at linebacker.

It has not prevented either team from recruiting the number one class in the nation. He is attempting to destroy a unique tradition that differentiates playing at either school for a perceived benefit (which, again, has not prevented either school from recruiting the number 1 class in the nation) every other year. It seems to me that he is trying to recreate Auburn/Alabama rather than rising to meet the challenges of Florida/Georgia.

Dear mods...what is the rubric for the UGA game thread when things go bad? Cause...I think everyone is going to be having a meltdown right around 345PM on Sat.

I thought it was a UCF alum that started that franchise.

I would think Texas-Oklahoma would want to keep their Red River Shootout in Dallas as well so I don’t see it changing. I think it’s more about posturing in negotiations with the city of Jacksonville than anything.

That's a good point. With that game coming into the SEC we will have two of the most iconic neutral site rivalry games. That would mean that Tx and Ou would be their permanent opponent in opposite divisions.

You’re surely entitled to your opinion. At 4-2 (and possibly 5-2 after Saturday) I think KS has risen to the challenge. I hated going to JAX and stopped going. Long trip, don’t like the city. Would welcome going to Athens and Gainesville to watch the games.

Saw that today about the Ga kid out for the season. Bummer-hope he heals up well.

With regards to moving the game to both campuses...

I like the tradition in Jax, it's a big deal because it just isn't like that anywhere in college ball except for the red river rivalry. But ... having that game in the Swamp and between the Hedges would be pretty cool as well. The way I see it, by the time that happens we should be rebuilt and have a couple-few years of recruiting behind us will be better prepared weather we're up there or down here. It'll be a scream fest either way. Don't really remember Bulldogs roaming the Florida campus. That part will be weird in itself, as it will be Gators roaming about up yonder.

My preference would be Jax, then Athens, then Gainesville, jax, Athens, Gainesville...

    Go Gators.

I thought they changed that this year and the home team can recruit like normal? Seems like just letting the home team recruit like normal would be an easy solution.

I certainly get the importance of recruiting, but you would think as an alum, smart would appreciate the tradition

I remember back in either '68 or '69 uga beat us 44-0. It was a humiliating defeat for all Gators (players and fans). We were living in Tampa back then and I actually turned my Florida shirt inside out. I regret doing that and hope we play well this week win or lose my shirt will be worn properly.GO GATORS!

Any parking recommendations? I have not been to this game since I was a student (97-01).
