I think it was planned to help with getting the 5 star cb, showing this OL believes in the direction of UF in spite of our record. This announcement comes just a few days before someone makes an important announcement. So, I think our coaches already knew sometime ago he was going to flip to us. Just my guess.

 

These guys are doing a great job recruiting. What's the saying: 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration. It helps our coaches are smart about this , even better they work so hard.

An offensive lineman isn’t gonna factor into Mcclains decision at all. Plus, I’m positive he has already decided where he is going. Probably knew it a while ago but definitely knew it when he decided to set his commitment date.


This is just a general momentum move for recruits/fans to see, keep the momentum going. Doesn’t have anything to do with McClain. However, McClain committing to us the day before we play Kirby Smart, is def a planned move lol

Finally got another one from wing’s old stomping ground

 

I liked watching that again. He has such freakish athleticism for his size, is relentless and plays with an attitude. It makes you wonder why he chose being an OL instead of a DT. FSU got a couple OL with a similar aggression as him last year, but he is more athletic. I really didn't want FSU to get last year's class plus Kearney.

I'm not as high on Lucas Simmons, but I say work on him too. I don't know that we have a lot of flip options at OT.
