Thanks but Tampa will be fine. NHC has the storm making land fall 90 miles away in Port Charlotte. Tampa will end up on the West side of the storm.

Now it looks like it's possibly on track to the Orlando area...

Does EWU fly in Saturday night? Hopefully the hotel has power and they can settle in some. Flying west coast to east coast from there couldn't be fun. Their body clock is going to say game time is 8 AM. Surely they are spending Thursday or Friday out of harms way in a CDT or EDT zone to help adjust. Plus, any additional logistics has gotta cost some unexpected big bucks.

    I'll be the contrarian here:

Playing this game is a VERY poor decision.

Thursday it will be a tropical storm near Orlando & by the end of Saturday it will be around Charlotte. It looks manageable to me.

    You've got to be kidding.

This storm is going to destroy parts of the state and kill some folks. But yeah, let's keep our focus on a meaningless game against some directional school, tomato-can opponent.

Somehow, I don't think that's what was meant by "In all kinds of weather."

Just my opinion, but a few thoughts on this:

    (1) There is still time to cancel it if they deem resources are unavailable or there is a tone-deaf nature to playing the game.
    (2) If I were unable to attend because I was focused on the storm impacting me, the last thing I'd be worried about is whether or not they are playing a football game somewhere else in the state.
    (3) This game may be a healthy distraction for some who have been disadvantaged by the hurricane; I can't imagine it would be a negative for anybody because their attentions may lie elsewhere.

If they play it, I just don't see how it would hurt anybody in any way shape or form. Just my two bits.

    Go GATORS!
