What are the chances he suits up and scores against us at the end of January? This feels like a cruel trick by the Gods.
Kansas State has had quite a distinguished list of head coaches. I will name some of the highlights: Tex Winter Cotton Fitzsimmons Jack Hartman Lon Kruger Dana Altman Bob Huggins Frank Martin Bruce Weber Pretty good list. Jerome Tang is new and had a good career as an assistant coach and associate head coach at Baylor.
Why would Key' forfeit a $5 million dollar insurance policy? Ex-Gator Johnson cleared to play, off to K-State
There are some insurance agents somewhere celebrating this announcement. They will be toasting with champagne, if he plays in games this season
Is it as simple as UF wouldn’t allow him to suit up despite medical clearance? I.e., he would have stayed at UF if UF allowed him to suit up again? UF simply doesn’t want liability/questions doctor clearance? I am not a basketball guy. I follow UF baseball religiously and when I was a student I followed basketball very closely but I haven’t paid much attention in 14-15 years. I sucked at the sport and stopped playing in 4th grade.
IOW if he doesn't collapse again he's good to go. If he collapses again, he might live to collect the payout.
Key was cleared by some programs, whereas others were not willing. He was not cleared at Florida, and after the coaching change… I’m not sure he pursued it much. Key didn’t know or have relationship w Todd, and Florida hadn’t shown sign of clearing him to play. Most of Key’s teammates were gone from Florida, as was his entire coaching staff. I think starting over was better pursued elsewhere.
I don’t know if the sexual assault allegations played a factor in KJ’s recruitment, but, if they didn’t, then almost every college in the country would have wanted him. So, it seems obvious to me, that his medical issue kept him from getting scholarship offers from most schools.
