I don't think so, he got 2 years eligibility left so he has leverage for next years draft. He comes to UF and does well, he will move up the ranks.

There is a reason why he was drafted in the dreaded 11th round today.......

Once draft is over and he gets to see what is left, Sully should hit the Portal again. There are some good bats out there and we could use one more.

Skenes kid from Air Force is a baller

Thru round 16 and things are looking much more obvious. Certainly the word got out Riopelle isn't going anywhere and Heyman wants to be a Gator. Ellerts could have went much higher but the 11th round is very telling. He will wait and see how the money is spent on players before him to see what's left. Very happy that Tejeda has not gone already. He can be useful in many ways on next year's team. His future will depend on where he settles in over the next few years. The RHP from Stoneman Jake Clemente is still with us which should be really good for us over the next 3 years. I certainly wish Sproat would have slipped some more to make his decision a little more difficult and for Colby Thomas to have come to UF would have loaded up this team for next year. All should work itself out over the next 2 weeks.

One time commit Brady Neal catcher at IMG gets drafted in the 17th round to the Brewers, and Heyman is still undrafted. Very interesting

not really, he may have an agent/advisor tell them his price or he was going to UF, they pass on him if they don't feel he worth the $

Agree. Big difference from 11 to 5-6-7 money wise. One good year in the sec and he makes a huge jump.

Ellerts is gone. Kid always wanted to sign and once Cleveland figured how they fit could his demands within their bonus pool, they drafted the kid.

I was told weeks ago the staff expected him to sign....so the good thing is that they are not surprised/blindsided. But to me this makes the loss of Pogue more problematic, unless they have another arm coming in.

Agree, Pogue leaving was a head scratcher. Obviously, the Waldrep kid transferring in was big as he is a SEC caliber weekend guy but it would have been nice to have found another quality arm from the portal. There are still a lot of young kids with potential on the roster that will need to step up and maybe one or two of the incoming FR will be ready. It’s going to be an interesting fall for sure.

Apparently Au was the college 'draft winner' , at least per this guy

Lost more off current team than I expected, so not sure I agree. 5 pitchers in first 12 rounds taken.

CF Kason Howell wasnt drafted and a year left if wants.. Ill gladly take back the best def CF ive ever seen at AU( a mouthful of statement but true) He can hit 280 all he wants. But not sure he returns,, 24 yrs old.

I think Pogue was just ready to move on. Think I heard he has signed a free agent deal with the Nationals.
Adios Ole Miss, he barely knew you. :p
