Remember it's about God & morals. For others of course. Circulating online - Google docs with info on Trump, Santorum, and other Republicans and abortions they had their mistresses/wives get.
Now that I have a moment... I see that for some here this is a lost cause. You point to beliefs, the Bible, and morality and Christianity as your sword against evil. The same Christianity that still believes (some not all) that women shouldn't be given anesthesia or pain meds during labor because that's their penance for the "Sins of Eve". The same Christianity that in some places, though finally rare, believed a woman who gave birth needed to be "churched" prior to being welcomed back to the congregation. You know, cleansed. If she gave birth to a boy, however, the time span was less than if she birthed a girl. The same Christianity that to this day (Catholics) won't baptize a stillborn because it was never alive. So let's remove religion from the equation. Since some love to claim it's a morals thing. So it's immoral for a woman to have an abortion at anytime, yet not to marry an 11 year old girl? Immoral for a woman at 25 weeks to need an abortion because the fetus is brain dead, but not to cheat on your spouse repeatedly. Immoral to use birth control, but turn a blind eye when she's beaten for getting pregnant like it's JUST her fault. No one sat and thought of consequences. Not on banned medications, or chemo, or surgeries, on bounty hunters, pregnancy sniffing dogs, IVF bans, HIPPA violations, secret pregnancy tests without consent....the list is endless. Nope. What some here will continue to do is wave their Bibles around and declare their faith is what the country needs to follow. You know who does that? Iran. Afghanistan. Places like that. You decry it there, but here....well it's Christianity so that's fine, right? People DONT believe the same things. You don't care that other faiths firmly believe that yes, a woman's life is important, yes she has bodily autonomy, and no you can't force her to carry a pregnancy to term. You only care about being right in YOUR eyes. Consequences and everyone else be damned.
I will be taking a break again. I've got too many health issues to, on top of that, have to listen to so much hatred and "Christian love"...and if you don't agree with that then you MUST be a liberal, sinner, whatever. Continue to alienate people. Those of us in the middle are finding we have NO place - not in politics and certainly not here either. Some of you won't be happy until women are wearing those spiked bridles they used to use for nagging/outspoken women and reduced to nothing more than incubators. I'd expected it from some but from some of you? Horrified and disappointed are 2 good words. If you bother listening or paying attention more and more stories will come out. The problem here is from what I've seen on this board, too many won't care. For those of you who actually support women and that they're actually people and not property, thank you. We need more men like you. For the men who have signed up in DROVES for vasectomies to protect their wives & partners, or are moving out of their states, good job. For the rest, I hope you one day wake up and realize life isn't cut and dry, black or white. And that you've only moved abortions back to back alleys, using home remedies and herbs, etc.
"Above All, Do No Harm," has turned into "Get Back To Us When You're Septic." Terrifying. No matter what the situation--happily married, thrilled to start a family--a woman in one of the insane states would have to take into account the possible lethal consequences of a pregnancy.
I love you IW. You know i mean that, but come on. What are you referring to? Some archaic reference to weird sects of Christianity? I have never even heard of believeing in no anesthesia. Being "churched"? I mean most of us believe in exceptions. In fact I dont think a single poster here has said a 10 year old rape victim should be forced to carry the baby, have they? I mean you are preaching to a choir. But dont use weird obscure archaic off shoots as some sort of proof. That isnt fair at all.
A judge who cherry-picks to bolster an argument is fundamentally dishonest. Alito did. The other five approved. SCOTUS is diminished. Abortion decision cherry-picks history – when the US Constitution was ratified, women had much more autonomy over abortion decisions than during 19th century
Oh boy. Pregnant Texas woman driving in HOV lane told police her unborn child counted as a passenger A pregnant Dallas-area woman argued as much to police officers after recently being cited for driving alone in the HOV lane, according to a story published Friday afternoon by the Dallas Morning News' Dave Lieber. Lieber reports that Plano resident Brandy Bettone was driving along U.S. Highway 75 en route to picking up her son when she found herself at a checkpoint facing a citation for using the high-occupancy vehicle lane while alone in her car. "I was driving to pick up my son. I knew I couldn't be a minute late, so I took the HOV lane," Bettone told Lieber. "As I exited the HOV, there was a checkpoint at the end of the exit. I slammed on my brakes and I was pulled over by police." ……. "One kind of brushed me off when I mentioned this is a living child, according to everything that's going on with the overturning of Roe v. Wade. 'So I don't know why you're not seeing that,' I said," Bettone explained. "He was like, 'I don't want to deal with this....Ma'am, it means two persons outside of the body."
Don’t blame you for being fed up. I just hope enough republican women switch from voting for tax breaks to voting for being a first class citizen. Forty-five percent voted for Trump and close to fifty voted Republican. That has to change.
That's a lot of hay ftom all the strawmen you slayed there... One thing that was lost in your post though: the unborn children. It's always been and remains about protecting the unborn human babies, not about suppressing women's rights. 5 decades of Roe has multiple generations conditioned to disregsrd that class of human beings as human waste; fecal matter, rather than fetal human beings--as decades of slavery did. It's a gross misconception that has long needed to be redressed, and of course it will not change overnight. It will take time--again, as with slavery. C'est la vie.
In a previous post partially in jest to make a point I posted a photo of a cryogenic container with frozen embryos and raised the question at to whether there were hundreds of human beings in the container. I guess that if the container was located in Arizona the answer would be "yes" and if other states used the AZ law as model, a possibility if the statute is upheld there could be literally tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of frozen humans. Arizona pushes to treat embryos and fertilized eggs as people
Actually it's been about the political power that can be gained by pretending to care about the rights of a constituency that is convenient because they can't speak any contrary viewpoints like the women do that your kind so deeply despises.
Sure, yeah, you got us nailed. We're pandering to the deeply coveted unborn baby vote. Bc once they're born we know they'll vote GOP baby! Lol!
You're pandering to the generations of evangelicals who have been brainwashed for decades to vote GOP to save these alleged babies that they won't give 2 poops about their lives the second they are born.
