    On the SEC Network now.

Seems like Arkansas usually wins SEC track championships just due to their sheer numbers of competitors.

in the mens field yes, womens field we had too much top end talent and won. Even with Grace not giving us any points due to a fall in the hurdles

What are the chances of the women bringing home the NC? Only T&F national title that escapes us (Cross Country a different story).

I think we have a great chance. Anything can happen, but we are going to be one of the favorites you would think since we have won the Indoor National title and the Outdoor SEC title. I am wondering if Anna Hall competes in individual events or the Heptathlon.

Final results for anyone checking in...
    Women
    Gators!! 107
    Arkansas 103
    LSU 96.5

    Men
    Arkansas 120
    Bama 114
    Tennessee 83
    Gators 78
    Georgia 75

The women definitely have a shot at winning NCAAs, as they did indoors.
And the men do too- regardless of our 4th place finish at SECs.

AT NCAAS- its about the superstars.
Because while it took 120 for Arky to win SECs, usually 55-60 wins at NCAAs.

And if we can win the 4x4, the 4x1 and rack up points in the 400, as we did in the SECs, we'll be halfway there.

unless something out of the ordinary happens she will win the heptathalon, 10 points.i think if lester does well, they might limit what hall does individually, unless it looks like she might be top 3 o4 or better, just a guess.

side note, it’s certainly benefitted us before, but I don’t like the way track nationals score at all. It gives way too much weight to 1 or two athletes per team. Wish they’d find a way to more closely match the swimming model. But if there’s 500 athletes in the country, having the number one athlete worth 10 times the eighth place person doesn’t make sense.

I'm a track guy and a numbers guy and...

I completely agree with you. IDK how swimming does it but I've heard this before.
My track coach at UF, Joe Walker, said the exact same thing back then. (In 87- my senior year.)
He said if track was scored like swimming, we'd have been top 5 in the country.
We did win SECs (see my ring and watch) but we hardly made a dent at NCAAs.
We had a well-rounded team, but not a lot of superstars.

And to flip it- it's not hard to imagine a literal 2 person team winning it all in the NCAAs.
So obviously i wish they would change it.

swimming has an A final and a B final. The A final scores down from 30 to 20 I think, the B final scores from 18 down to zero.

I think she could do the heptathalon and 1 or 2 individual events (LJ and/or 400 hurdles?)

The heptathlon is not contested at the two regionals… both Anna Hall and Lester are already qualified for nationals… individual events would require qualifying at the regional events.
UF’s list of competitors at the the regionals should be released soon.

I understand, and I suspect Anna will try to compete in an individual event, and most likely would qualify at regionals (for the nationals) in either the LJ or the 400 meter hurdles.
The dilemma will be which event is she most likely to score points in at nationals. The 400 meter hurdles seems most likely, but those finals are contested at 3:57 pm on Saturday the heptathlon 800 meters are contested Saturday at 4:13 pm.
The LJ finals (women) are Thursday at 7:00 pm with no other heptathlon events that day, making that event much more doable but with less chance to score… plus again, although Anna would likely qualify in the LJ at regional she would still have to do that.
Coach Holloway will have to decide if Anna will attempt to qualify in an individual event at regionals, or concentrate solely on the heptathlon.
I personally don’t see how him risking the scheduling problems competing at 400 hurdles would bring, but Hall is an remarkable athlete.
We will know tomorrow (the 19th) as the competition lists for the regionals be released then.

cannot fathom why florida cannot field a 4x100 relay, got to be 4 runners available.

just lost one of our sprinters to transfer before the season ended. She left for Baylor, one has been injured all spring. We dont have a lot of sprint depth on the womens side

Was that Alexis? If so, good luck to her, but she likely had close to a full scholly so that would free us up a bit. Still sucks that we can’t ever seem to get a good 4x1 on the women’s side the last few years though.

no stark in the 110 hurdles, 100 meters, and of course no 4x100 relay. do not know if losing her will cost points, anyone know where she was ranked?
