This is what Keyontae said himself. A cardiologist who was at the game saved his life. You connect the dots.

While still in the medical facility, Johnson posted a video in which he thanked the staffs in Tallahassee and Gainesville for the care he received, adding, “Especially the lady that was in the gym at Florida State.”
That woman was a cardiologist who happened to be sitting courtside. In an interview published Tuesday by the Gators’ team site, Johnson said: “I was passed out. I could have died. She jumped out on the court and saved me.
“If it isn’t for her, I may not have had a second chance in life. You just can’t take life for granted.”

The relationship each way has been so loyal to this point I would be both shocked and disappointed if he played for another college. There is no way Coach Golden wouldn’t allow him to play for UF if that was KJ’s desire. I’m thinking this is a false report.

Just because the doctor he credited with saving his life on the scene was a cardiologist doesn’t mean he had a heart-related issue. It’s not clear what kind of treatment she gave him. I’m not so quick to connect dots to suit a narrative. There has been no direct statement or evidence presented about what led to his collapse. You all are just guessing. It may have been a heart condition… maybe not… but why are you all so sure about heart condition when there has been nothing other than speculation?

I saw him faint then hit his head very hard on the basketball court. Brain trauma can be very serious, so I’m not sure why many of you are so quick to dismiss it. People faint all the time for various reasons. Without any real information being released, I’m not just going to throw a dart at the wall and say his heart stopped. Based on what facts?

Whether or not he actually decides to go into the portal, or then finds schools willing to offer opportunity … we will find out. But I promise you- it is very much a consideration.

The whole situation is disappointing on so many levels, but I'll be happy if he's able to play again, whether that is

Doesn’t need a transfer to go to the NBA so apparently he’s intent on playing for another school.

Imo, this feels like an agreement he worked out due to the incident, or maybe he just no longer wants to be at UF due to it. I have no insider info but the timing just feels a little coincidental. When he does transfer, I hope he's gotten clearance to play and would be very nervous for him if he does.

I hope he stays with the team.

If only because of the great job he does as a coach!

I think he has the ability to play a few games to test his health without losing the proceeds.

There were several first hand reports from the game that they had to perform CPR on him as soon as they got him off the court.

Given his insurance policy it makes sense to go back to college. He needs to boost his stock up enough to get a decent payday to make it worthwhile

you don’t spend 10 days in the hospital because you fainted. I fainted at a concert once and was in the hospital for about 36 hours after receiving more tests than I knew possible.

and you haven’t heard anything because the family hasn’t released anything, not because it didn’t happen. KJ is protected by HIPAA and the school can’t say anything without permission. Doctors from 4 other schools were brought in and he still want cleared.

It’s pretty obvious the kid had some sort of a heart event.
