Now they're claiming they're fighting all of NATO on Russian TV.

Edit - someone mentioned it's almost a way to justify retreating if you're losing to NATO versus Ukraine. LOL

God bless the Czech Republic. I hope we start following their example of how to stand up to a bully. We need to be a little more like Wyatt Earp here:

And less like Ike Clanton here:

I see it as similar to identifying someone at the morgue. Not pleasant but I think most loved ones would want the closure.

Wow. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to wear that shirt, even if you’re 100% behind the war effort. It’s like someone who supported the war in Vietnam bragging about another My Lai. It just wouldn’t be done.

That is what we are dealing with here. It is very difficult for those of us from western cultures to wrap our minds around.

Well either they're trying to make sure to be on Putin's good side or they're for the war & don't care. I mean we have a wife telling her husband to go rape, a woman selling looted items, we've had other calls where wives/moms don't care what they do to civilians, etc. So I'm appalled & disgusted but not shocked.

Those in the "minority" better speak up/get out or risk being lumped in with the orcs.

Edit- really looks like Russia's having a hissy fit & yeeting everything it can find short of nukes and counting it as a hit no matter where it lands. :emoji_joy:

Saw that. Conflicting obviously but sounds more like "trainers" went over, which don't necessarily mean active troops. Same as if we had some retired guys go over who now teach versus active troops.

Also there were British trainers already there that were pulled just as Russia was invading to avoid further escalation when it looked like Kyiv was going to fall.

Now we know Putin will exploit this, & what idiocy by this paper to publish this, but unless they show them actively as a unit firing on Russians I'm taking the Ukranian guy (who was also stupid to even admit it) at his word that the Brits were there training them only.

Cnn live...stolen child, one of many.

"Injured, alone and destined for a Russian orphanage, a 12-year-old Ukrainian girl is recruited for Moscow’s information war

    By CNN's Phil Black
    ........

Days later, Kira and her father’s girlfriend tried to flee the city on foot alongside neighbors. But after she was injured in the blast from a landmine, Kira was taken to a hospital in the Donetsk region, which is controlled by Moscow-backed separatists.

Now Kira’s grandfather, Oleksander, fears he will never see her again. He said an official from the breakaway government in Donetsk phoned and invited him to travel there to claim her, which is impossible because of the war.

He says he spoke to the hospital and was told Kira will eventually be sent to an orphanage in Russia. They took away her documents, he said, and was told Kira will be provided with new ones in Russia.
    .....
Russian media, which has repeatedly downplayed the brutality of the conflict in Ukraine, has shown video of Kira talking happily about how she's sometimes allowed to call her grandfather. This is “proof” that she wasn’t abducted, according to one Russian TV presenter, who dubbed the claim another “Ukrainian fake.”"
    ........

On this one I highly encourage you to go read the full bit on CNN live because the 4 paragraph rule doesn't do this justice.

    Just awful.
