Women continue the reverse trend.....were great in doubles vs the tough opponents, now they hit the soft part of the schedule and can't buy a doubles point. Match moved inside, UK takes doubles and Zein loses a 3 setter at #2 Kessler cruises at 1 Briggs with a tough win at 3 Dudney cruises at 4 Dahlstrom solid at 5 Shelton comes back to win a 3rd set super TB.....she's not playing well at all Men hosting LSU, just won the doubles point with wins at 2 and 3. were up 5-4 on 1 Singles just starting. Shouldn't be overly close. Goodger gets 5 today and Shelbayh at 6
Shelton, Goodger, Vale on serve midway 1st sets Riffice up a break Andrade and Shelbayh out fast, both throw up a bagel in their first sets.
All first sets complete. Somehow Riffice blows a commanding lead and loses his set Goodger also loses UF takes 4 of 6 first sets
3 singles matches done, so match is clinched Riffice in the bizzarro match....total control of first set, loses 7 straight games and is down 0-3 in 2nd. Serving and facin 3 break points to go down 0-4. Storms back to win that game, and has now won 4 straight to lead 4-3 Shelton at 6-5 , one game away Goodger on serve in 2nd
Shelton closes his match out, Riffice rips off 6 straight games to force a 3rd, Goodger up 5-4 in 2nd
Riffice cruises in his super TB.....I have no idea what turned it around. Maybe he was blindfolded for the middle of the match Goodger 3-3 in his super tB
Riffice’s opponent played unconcious tennis in the middle of the match. Sam stayed in there mentally and the LSU player came back to him in the middle of the second set. Sam has fixed his service motion and is playing very well right now. Coaching change coming at LSU in mens tennis at the end of the year.
I was actually concerned Sam was injured or something.....like a switch turned on and off. Sorry to hear on the Brandi's....always liked them. A little surprised it didn't work out better. Hey, our women "may" have an opening end of year too
