Urban should have never been brought in. People have been saying for years that Urban's tactics wouldn't work in the NFL and the proof is in the pudding. You'd think the Jaguars FO would have figured out those tactics don't fly in the NFL after bringing Coughlin in a few years ago led to them dismantling their very talented defense. Khan needs to let someone else make this next hire.

For millions of dollars, I can continue the mess for The Jags.

You're kidding yourself if you think Urban was going to turn it around.

Imagine trying to fix the mess in Jacksonville with free agency essentially cutoff to the organization. Urban's first draft wasn't exactly a home run either.

You think Meyer got fired bc some woos whined about being un-violently touched on a football field???

...for a lap dance halfway accross the country???

Not the fact that he only won 2 games out of 13? Which, btw, is like twice as many as his roster warranted.

But, let's not cast aspersions on the poor billionaire who psid the multimillionaire the big bucks to insulate him from his own stinginess.

This take tells me you haven't followed the Jags closely at all, ever. Khan is probably the most patient owner in the league and has given coaches way too long a leash to suck. Gus Bradley and Marrone both got 4 years. Khan said two days ago he wasn't worried about the losing yet, that he was concerned with all the off the field stuff. And it was plentiful.

As for Khan being stingy. Also completely not true.

Yep, ownership sucks balls... just as I said. That mess might never get fixed with that jack-wagon in charge...

And as I said, Khan needs to sit this next hire out. I was addressing your apparent belief that Meyer could turn things around.

You clearly don’t follow the Jacksonville Jaguars. Meyer sucked ass as an NFL coach and embarrassed himself and the organization in the process of sucking, and was given a well-deserved pink slip. But go ahead and keep crying about how one of the most patient owners in professional sports did him wrong. Lol. Zero accountability.

He needed help that he apparently never got. One coach is not enough to change that organization around... The Pro game is NOT like college where the right "Napier" can fix the whole damned mess. ;)

lol and I've addressed why more time wouldn't have helped his cause. You didn't refute that, you just pivoted.

ETA - a cmon man because you can't argue your point. I love it.

Not only did this genius draft a running back in the first round (in an era where you can find quality running backs in late rounds), he did so when he already had a good, productive starting running back on the roster. I guess the Jags owner takes the blame for that too. LOL.

I knew Meyer was over his head bringing his college shtick to the NFL when he had a "competition" in camp between Trevor and Minshew. They split first team reps for most of camp when everybody knew it wasn't an actual competition. And then they traded Minshew for a 6th. Trevor needed all the reps he could get. This isn't Pop Warner.

He was clearly in over his head, which is okay. I didn’t expect him to have much success because several elite college coaches before him have tried their hands at the pros and have fallen short of success. None of them embarrassed themselves the way Meyer did tho.

Urban Meyer was a train wreck in Jacksonville. He ran the NFL's best s*** show. You may not be aware of all his transgressions but there were many. He deserved to be fired.
