Awesome and hard fought win. That was a slugfest and we found a way to win. Really good sign to grit out a win like that.
He was killing us until he saved us lol. One of those weird games. We had several guys play pretty off games (lost track of how many layups were missed), shot a low %, but won ugly against a team that matches up pretty well against us and seemed to have more depth inside to bang against Castleton. All that experience definitely pays off in a game like this. Really liking this team. No quit at all. Still worried if we face an offensive juggernaut if we can hang, but this team looks like it will be fun to watch and won’t back down.
This game was epic for so many reasons, a rock fight early, fairly even 1st half - we ended that half pretty well also! Got down by 10 but came back. Colin ran up against some pretty good competition tonight, Lidell kid is a freaking monster. Games like this, like tonight, make being a basket fan worth while.
Just got home from the game, it was awesome. Struggled all night, just couldn’t get in synch. The fans were going back and forth. Those last two gator plays were epic. It was a battle all night and then so quick it was over. Love seeing us pull out a win like this. Our offense struggled all night. Love this team! The team was hilarious at the all tournament team selection and trophy presentation, they were all dancing together and you could tell they loved being around each other. Fleming looked shocked when he got all tournament team (I don’t know why, he carried us tonight). They were all mimicking Appleby's game winning shot. Just a great night. They made Mike White get the trophy. Excited for what they do this year.
I have criticized Mike Whites teams for not being tough... this team is legit. Rock solid, no flinch, all gas, no brakes. I am excited to see this season unfold. These guys have a chance to have a special season.
I thought I read they were in the top 5 in the nation in offensive efficiency.....not sure if that was last year or this year but they played a heck of a game

Wish I could have been there. I was on a farm in Georgia with no TV. Ugggh. I watched the game thread on my phone and could tell it was going to be close. I picked a score in the low seventies and a two pt difference, not far off. It is always fun when someone can find the net with a buzzer beater!
