2021 Tampa Bay Lightning Playoff Thread.

It is a good thing that concrete sarcophagus will be euthanized later this year.

The Trop needs to be next. It’s 2021, no need to be playing in arenas and stadiums that resemble the 60s.

 

I'm not impressed with the Trop, I just wonder where they would put the new stadium. My thinking would be on the Tampa side to make it more accessible to the Polk County and Orlando markets.

 

The logical sense but the govts of Tampa and St Pete along with Rays ownership are caught in a never-ending fight.

 

I figured there must be something. That makes sense.

 

Yeah, Cernak went dumb there. Hopefully he brings fire tonight. He owes us a goal, a couple assists, and at least 1 winning fight.

 

Tough game so far. Islanders outshooting the Bolts by 9 halfway through. Fortunate be down by only 1. Vassy is bringing it for sure, although he whiffed on the shot that scored.

6-0, Bolts, 2nd intermission. Incredible performance by Tampa tonight! Hungry, mean, and skating like hell! Hopefully NY doesn't decide to go full goon in the 3rd period and hurt somebody.

I was. I’ve never been so excited and in awe at the same time. Was a hell of a play by both players. Islanders just ended up with the better play. But TB is on a mission tonight!

 

Tilly has no faith in the lightning, saying they would only win by three . And Point’s streak continues,

meantime, my first thought when I turned on the game as “where was Kenny Albert?” So I read around, it’s his daughter’s HS graduation so he is off tonight (creit to NBC). But the guy they replaced him with, who admittedly has done a good job, is the islanders play by play guy. Karma.

 

7-0 early in the 3rd, this is a good old fashioned woodshed beating.

8-0 should qualify as two wins instead of just one.

It should be interesting to see the attitudes of both teams in game 6.
