There was a whole lot of BS this summer when we had nightly unrest and violence in many cities across America. Several innocent people died and literally thousands were injured along with millions and millions of dollars of damage to individual homes and businesses. What happened today is no better or no worse.

Two pipe bombs were found. A good friend of mine who works in the capital was rushed out in a tear gas mask. A confederate flag of treason was paraded thru our Congressional hall. If this was a Muslim flag or bombs planted by muslims you would call it Armageddon. It is incredibly bizarre and disingenuous to dismiss a mob that broke into our capital, broke up proceedings to peacefully transition power, threaten a coup if their candidate isn't retained in power despite democracy, and all at the urging of a sitting president peddling lies and seeding treason.

So it was justified? Really? Hundreds of people were trying to force their way into the Portland federal buildings that had employees inside and people here lost their shit because the thugs got gassed. I don't think she needed to get shot, but it's understandable if you were in the cop's position given what was happening. She put herself in that situation.

The looting this summer was horrible. The protests to condemn police violence and racism were fantastic.

The looting of our capital today is horrible. The attempt to overturn our democracy, deny the votes of 80 million Americans, is by far worse. There is a parallel in the mobs being unruly and violent. There is no parallel in the motivation of the movements.
