There are people on this thread that think state officials are playing games with death counts. Real dead people with real families are tied to those numbers you’re having political sport with on this board.

if you mean me, say it, i am thick-skinned, and yes, given todays ny/nj numbers vs yesterdays, it is really strange for a 1/3 drop in deaths in 1 day, dont you think?

 

You are comparing to an incomplete day.

 

Is this evidence of if you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth. Study after study has shown voter fraud to be minuscule. No more than 1 in 100,000 votes, on average, and likely even smaller. Most places do have automatic recounts in place if the vote count is within .5%, or under 50,000 votes. Even these numbers are likely too high, but there are so few elections decided by this close a margin, that it isn't a big deal. But the reality is, in an election with 100,000 voters, even 100X what all the research says, and 100 fraudulent votes, isn't going to change an election unless the race is a virtual tie.

 

You've been told many times how complicated the reporting of these deaths are yet you still think everything should be reported exactly as it happens. Until we install some sort of device on sick people that pings a computer when they die these numbers will fluctuate throughout the day. Take the weekly average and you'll have a better idea.

 

no, i believe they report new cases and deaths once a day at about noon, if i am wron, and the numbers go up, i will, of course, apologize.

 

that is fine, now what do you think the weekly number of deaths per day in a 7 day stretch in ny/nj is? my guess is around 1200 or so, so yes, a real drop off is puzzling.

You wonder, day after day, why the number fluctuate. Fair enough. Folks have tried to explain, but fair enough to wonder.

But that quote above isn’t wondering. It’s having sport at the expense of dead people. It’s pathetic.

 

There is no need to guess. You can look at actual numbers. Also today is not over.

 

Not really, just normal fluctuations. Italy had a drop from 619 to 431 just a few days ago. UK had a 621 to 439 daily drop a couple weeks ago.

 

A doctor can reasonably suspect the case. What caused the pneumonia? What caused the heart attack? The death would be listed as ARDS, Cardiac arrest, etc. which was presumed to be caused by COVID-19 with comorbidities of hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, asthma, etc. In either case COVID-19 would be listed as A cause of death, not necessarily THE cause of death. People get hung up on this unnecessarily to state some kind of agenda is being pushed.

like i said, i believe ny/nj report once a day, and have done so today, gov. cuomo always states the days deaths in his 1130 or so speech.

Yeah you are right only Democrats have policies and execute every duty flawlessly throughout history. No democrat has ever done wrong and it’s amazing we’ve lasted this long with Republicans in DC. All hail the perfect flawless Democrats who commit no crimes, no failed policies and do everything so perfect. Maybe you should run for office and see if identifying as a certain political party erases all you flaws.

 

Not sure what you mean by this. Folks have been claiming that Covid-19 is no more harmful than the flu. They were rebuked for a number of reasons, including the fact that no vaccination exists. Now that the Covid-19 death counts appear to be surpassing those of the flu, it's being deemed an unfair comparison?
