Probably not. But who knows. Still a great job for Frost, he can turn UF into a winner again, then write his own check anywhere he wants to go.
I also don’t understand why they even went for Kelly. I could have told them (for a $5 consulting fee) that any big time coach will not come here unless we don’t hand over the keys (no micromanage) and if we don’t include language protecting the their buyout from what we did to Mac. Honestly that would have been common sense. I’ll save them time and you aren’t going to get a Gundy, Frost, Leach, Mullen etc unless you take care of the above. You’ll have to dumpster dive into the Strong or Norvell realm... Which ultimately will cost more $$$ since we will be in a coaching search in a few years
CK is a unique breed. IMHO, and yes, it's Monday morning QBing, where UF screwed the pooch is in not getting off the pot soon enough, rather than not giving enough of the farm away. But the 'disagree' is for the notion that we won't ever hire a great coach again, just because we didn't lick Chip Kelly's balls well enough. Screw that. We'll be back.... ...and we'll see greater success than UCLA under Chip Kelly.
Facilities are already planned. You were talking about the contract money. We will spend more than Kelly got on the next guy. Facilities will still be going forward.
I want a coach who really wants to lead this program back not some egomaniac who thinks he is God's gift to us. Let's find the coach who is thankful to have the opportunity to coach the Gators. CK good riddance!

We've spent thousands of years studying philosophy and human psychology, and who knew that there was a one size fits all answer! Even though I've had an extraordinary life being an optimist while being careful not to eshew logic, I think that I will now become a skeptic, pissing off everyone around me, and even better yet, people on message boards as well! Thank you so much for this nugget of wisdom which has escaped philosophers for millennia! It was so easy! On philosophy for everyone! Yes! Now, as my first skeptical move as a newly-minted skeptic, I'll call BS on that.

Not good enough. Nebraska offers the same. He needs more buyout protection. I’m sure coaches will be ok with termed for cause due to probation type infractions...but all coaches are going to want protection from what we did to Mac.
I think you'd be surprised what Leach would be willing to do and his ability to get along with Florida football people. Leach is a culture fit here, the best I can think of in the entire country.
