Please, explain to everyone why we should show any faith in Stricklin or the UAA? We just wasted 2 weeks in a battle with UCLA for Chip, a guy who ended up picking UCLA after UCLA spent about 48 hours in negotiations with Chips agent. Our UAA has no idea what they are doing as multiple hires and bad decisions regarding facilities should prove. I want to be wrong, I'm just not delusional enough to believe that the UAA finally figures out how to do this whole football coach hiring thing.
As promised I got a "what went wrong" update. Chip wanted the fire for cause with no buyout removed (what just happened to Mac), we weren't willing to do that.
I hope you're not interpreting my post as me having sources. I'm just a random message board lurker/occasional poster. I'm just posting what I've seen posted elsewhere by some folks who seem to be connected to the program, regardless of this outcome.
This! So SS better make this an absolute mission to update facilities. Gator Nation does not need to hear about how "UF's facilities are lagging behind the competition" anymore. Make it happen, STRICKLIN!!!
Although I'm against it, I think UF will take Taggart and probably Strong over Mullen. I also don't think Mullen has any interest.
Unbelievable! This is like pouring salt into an open wound. Our athletic program is not serious about winning if they couldn’t beat a $4M per year deal at UCLA. I’m seriously considering not renewing my season tickets.
