11/10 (a Friday) I said announcement within a week, TWO weeks at the latest. Then Saturday (the next day). I heard by Monday, so I said next 48 hours earliest - Also gave a WINDOW to possibly the end of the week. Also stated several times "not exactly sure of the timeline". Please find a time when I said when an announcement was absolutely, positively happening on an exact day.

So, if you wish to nitpick you can say "Hey, you said 2 weeks ago it would be two weeks at the latest. Today is exactly 14 days, and you were wrong" - that would be accurate. To that, I will say "hey, I got it wrong!". Post that, I'll gladly reply and give you what you want.

Anything to stop you from bringing up that 48 hours thing every chance you get. I would love to appease you my friend.

You think a very good up and coming guy, the new HBC at UF, can't get a quality staff of coaches??? Coaches he can get. Your question was can he get a guy to recruit South Florida. And I told you the answer. If you think a guy coaching at FL can't get a quality staff of assistants, then I just have no words....

 

New to the board. I'm a HS RB coach, UF alum, and have been entertained by this thread. Y'all are a trip. I have no "insider" info, but can say that HS coaches in NE Fla have had a lot of praise for Frost.

You offer nothing of substance but call out those who take a risk and post info for us to consider. The risk is they may be wrong. You however, are 100% guaranteed to come out of the woodwork and complain about accuracy of free info.

I've seen NFL HCs be unable to recruit great assistants. You have to have to connections for people to uproot their lives for you. They have to know from people they trust, or personal experience, that you're the kind of guy that will elevate them.

Either way, an announcement implied a done deal, you cannot announce what is not done, unless you can predict the future. Maybe a premature prediction? Sadly it was treated as fact.

Either way, if your source told you an announcement was imminent, they were wrong. If you were told that they are talking to Chip Kelly , and you should expect an announcement, then that is a prediction, and should have been reported as such, if you want to save your credibility that is. Just a suggestion for the future.

Absolutely. Because they could still talk through agents with coaches that hadn't finished their seasons yet and basically do everything they would be able to do as if they weren't already in negotiations with CK already. It's not like we've been sitting with our hands under our asses waiting on the phone to ring from Chip.
