Sounds like Florida isn’t committed to being an elite football school. IMO we should all boycott until the admin shows the commitment
The last time there was anything remotely reliable was the late 90s. Schools got tired of stuff leaking, changed their procedures and we're all as effectively insiders as there next guy.
Just because he asked for more at the end doesn't mean it's dead? He could be using UCLA to leverage us and we said no. We could still be waiting for a decision, no?
Thousands of others are as well. Enthusiasm for UF football is lower than it’s been in decades. Do you think more proof that the admin isn’t 100% committed will help enthusiasm? Their only hope is to catch lightning in a bottle.
Let the UF spin begin, and it has.. Florida: USA Today’s George Schroeder is now also reporting Chip Kelly is no longer considering the Florida job.
One guy pulls something out of their butt, it gets spread as gospel. I watched it at least twice in real time.
Oh so you have no idea what you're talking about. Got it. I'll be happy to roast the UAA if this is true but people are just spouting nonsense at this point.
First, there IS no Urban Meyer waiting for us to sign him. Second, everyone has "potential" and nothing else. I want a more complete coach rather than an offensive wunderkind. Not that they won't work out well but remember, Sumlin WAS that up until he didn't have his QB. And that was with great momentum (aTm up and UTx down) in THE best recruiting state. And now he is more like Mac than Kelly. Third, and most salient, Kelly is....lukewarm about UF. Taggert? not a chance. He COVETS the job.....AND he has done this long enough to get the job. A home run hire? nope but a damn nice hit.........just like each and ever other coach out there not named Kelly or Gruden. It is what it is.
