IMO it’s one thing if we simply cannot raise more money. It sucks but that’s life. Plenty of blame there, but more on Fooley than SS.

Now if SS isn’t giving him the keys and full control, then that’s a MAJOR screw up. We aren’t going to return to prominence with the UAA making football decisions

 

Will people sing this same tune 5 years from now when the Plan X coach Florida hires in 3 weeks ends up getting fired and Chip took UCLA to a couple Pac-12 championship games and the playoffs once or twice?

Sometimes you just have to suck it up and sell your soul to the devil to get things done. When your football program has been irrelevant as hell since Meyer left and you're going to end up going 10 years without a title of any kind after 2018 season ends, maybe playing it coy and cheap with a home run hire in Chip is NOT the best way to go about things.
